  A Woodpecker 2015-04-29

A woodpecker pecks a tree 15 times a second. Its speed is two times faster than the speed of a bullet. The shock that its head receives at that time can be compared with the force a rocket receives overcoming gravity at its launch. Yet it is not harmed. That's because there is a shock absorber like sponge in the brain of woodpeckers. In addition, the neck muscle is always at a right angle, and there is a suitable space that contains its tongue. It balances itself on its tail feathers. These things are designed most fittingly. If even one of these elements is missing, it cannot survive.

"For You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created." (Revelation 4:11)
