  Victory in All Things 2013-01-20

In 2 Chronicles chapter 20, Jehoshaphat won the victory in a difficult situation by relying on God. Believing the word of the prophet that God would give him the victory, he put the choir in the frontline of the army to praise God.

Then, there was a commotion within the enemy forces, and they destroyed themselves. Also, God gave the Judah many war trophies with His amazing works.

Now, what do we have to do in order to win the victory in all things?
First, we have to have humble heart to rely on God in all things. Even though we may have excellent wisdom and capabilities, we once again have to think what the will of God is.

Also, we have to live in faith and give thanks in all things. Second, we have to clearly hear the voice and receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Even if we may have been a Christian for a long period of time, we cannot be guided by the Holy Spirit if we do not circumcise our heart.

We have to cast off sins and have clean heart so that we can receive the methodology of God and practice it. Third, we have to obey the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If we do not obey the guidance of the Holy Spirit, God cannot show His work.

Because of the disobedience, the voice and guidance of the Holy Spirit will be less clear, and finally we won't be guided at all. Even though it does not seemingly benefit us, or the circumstances do not allow it, we have to obey it. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be established."

Isn't the blessed life a life of relying on God in all things? The worldly people may rely on their authorities and knowledge, but we God's children should believe that there is God who helps His children and rely on Him in all things, so that we can live a life of victory in all things.
