Many people find it easy to say such things as "I am truly sorry" or "That's too bad!", or "I wish there was something I can do" when they see or hear of others suffering from difficulties. But, in truth, they can sympathize but many are reluctant to help others who are suffering. To a hungry person bread is far better than a million words of solace. To a person who is cold, a warm coat is much more useful than warm words.

"[If] one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,' and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?" (James 2:16)
