  Being Humble 2013-11-06

Moses was the leader who led the sons of Israel out of Egypt in the Exodus when the sons of Israel suffered bondage in Egypt. As a prince of Egypt, Moses was proud and self-righteous. He lacked nothing in life. One day he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren. He struck down the Egyptian and fled from the presence of Pharaoh. He learned humility while tending a flock of sheep for the next 40 years and eventually, as stated in Numbers 12:3, he became very humble, 'more than any man who was on the face of the earth'. God did not call the Moses who was the prince of Egypt, but Moses, the humble shepherd. In other words, God is pleased by those who are humble and calls them to work for the kingdom of God.
