Feelings of Having Been Treated Unfairly 2014-04-05

Most people feel sad when they receive no reward or even recognition for something they worked hard to accomplish. They also feel unhappy when others don't understand their hearts. This feeling may not show outwardly, but it may still cause breaking of the peace with others or even cause feelings of hatred. It bubbles up from selfish motives. Selfish motivation is the condition of the heart that prioritizes 'myself,' 'my benefit,' and 'my self-esteem' before consideration of others. We can enjoy peace in our hearts as long as we cast off any feelings of being unfairly treated (Hebrews 10:22).
