  The life of self-contentment 2008-12-12

The rich can live in affluence and have a lot of benefit as they can help others in various ways. However, the poor also don’t have a little benefit in their own way. For example, while the rich are anxious about losing their wealth, the poor can be at ease because they don’t have a big wealth to worry about. That is, we should be joyful, thankful and content in any circumstances.
How then can we live in contentment?
Most of all, we have to rid ourselves of the desires for gain. This is a greed for better food and better clothes, or for accumulating more wealth.
To rid ourselves of this desire for wealth, we have to be poor in spirit. Those who are poor in spirit are not eager to gain more wealth. Rather they delight in sharing with others what they have.
God is pleased with those who rid themselves of their greediness and are self-content. He will reward them with love and blessings for affluent life.
