Urim Books Participated in New Delhi World Book Fair 2014 in India
From February 15 to 23 in 2014, New Delhi World Book Fair 2014 was held in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi in India. The opening ceremony was attended by many local and foreign key figures such as Pranab Mukherjee, President of India and Chandresh Kumari, Minister of Culture. Urim Books publishes and distributes Dr. Jaerock Lee's multilingual Christian books and its President, Elder Joseph K. Noh, also attended.
In its booth, Urim Books displayed Dr. Lee's books in Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Odia, Tangkhul, and Simte. In particular, his steady seller The Message of the Cross in 56 languages caught the attention of many visitors. Among the books displayed, The Message of the Cross and Hell in Hindi drew great attention from people. The book Awaken, Israel in English was sold out.
Also, many key personnel like Raju Pallam, Minister of Human Resource Development visited Urim Books' booth. Dr. Rajendra Kumar, Director General of National Library, India said that she wanted to have Dr. Lee's major books in the library so Urim Books promised to donate books to the library.
At the book fair, Urim Books discussed national cooperation for the book ministry in India with Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Human Resource and they tried to find methods of cooperation with local publishers, distributors, and e-book publishers including Amazon India (www.amazon.in).
Urim Books also signed distribution agreements concerning Dr. Lee's books The Message of the Cross and Hell in Hindi with MSS Publications that distributes books to all bookstores in India and K.K. Publications.
