2010 Summer Bible School Is a Heavenly Festival for Children Filled with the Lord's Love

On July 26, it began to rain early in the morning. It felt like God cleaned the whole world with His love for the children of Manmin. At 8:30 AM, the rain stopped and teachers of Children's Sunday School gathered at the Main Sanctuary of Manmin Central Church to pray for the 2010 Summer Bible School. After praying there, they went out to the streets to bring more children to the 2010 summer Bible school.
Many children came together at the main sanctuary with a longing heart for the Bible school. Though they were little, they were no less fervent than many adults in the longing for the spiritual realm. Teachers examined the very detailed things for the Bible school, and welcomed children hanging a nametag on their clothes. The teachers did everything joyfully even in sweating and doing many laboring works.
On the first day of the 2010 Summer Bible School, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee delivered the message titled with "God Listens to My Prayer." The first program of the second day was 'Looking up to the Sky." Children sat on the stairs at the entrance of the main sanctuary and looked up to the sky. Dragonflies suddenly appeared from the sky and the children rejoiced with applause lifting up their hands. They were so happy to see various types of clouds—angels and the Prophet Moses holding the staff, and the Garden of Eden, five different colors of lights, and golden and silver powders, through which they became assured of the existence of the spiritual realm.
After that they participated in the program "Experiencing the Cross of the Lord." No one among many children laughed or talked, but instead they looked solemn. While watching the scenes of Jesus' bearing the cross, the children shed tears and continually wiped their eyes. Some children sobbed loudly and cried out, "Jesus the Lord was flogged and took the cross for me."
The children took a cross in turns and participated in the passion of the Lord temporarily. Through secondhand experiencing His passion, they cried out with tears and repented of not obeying their parents, quarreling against their friends, showing their hot-tempers, telling lies, playing computer games, and so on.
In the afternoon, Pastor Soojin Lee delivered the message titled with "Spirit" and urged them to cast away sins and evils from the heart and pray fervently, demonstrating the importance of the two things. Meanwhile a myriad of dragonflies came down from around the sun, and many children rejoiced seeing the dragonflies appearing and flying in the air.

On the third day, Mrs. Boknim Lee, President of Manmin Prayer Center led the 'Holy Spirit's Fullness Prayer Meeting' for children. After she explained to them about the seed of life, and asked them to let the seed of life grow well by the work of the Holy Spirit through continual prayers and making the Word of God their spiritual bread, she prayed for them with fervent love.
After the prayer meeting, the program 'Experiencing Heaven and Hell' followed. First, the children entered the dark 'Hellish Room' and watched various punishments of Hell in video presentation—souls that are tormented by messengers of hell, children who are punished buried at the shore of the river of blood, and the souls that are floundering in the lake of fire or brimstone. Coming out of the 'Hellish Room' the children said, "From now on I'll live by God's word. I'll surely enter Heaven." And then they entered 'Heavenly Room.' There they wore various heavenly crowns, played with angels and got on automobiles of cloud.
On the last and fourth day, the main sanctuary was filled with many children who were practicing for the "2010 Children's Performance Festival." Their fervor at the festival was as hot as the scorching sunlight. They glorified God by showing various performances they had prepared—singing praises as a soloist or duet or chorus, fan dance, Taekwon-do dance, worship dance, storytelling, and musical. It was a heavenly festival filled with love and talents of the children of Manmin.

In the afternoon of the last day, Pastor Heesun Lee led the Powerful Praise 'Jesus' and Prayer Meeting for children. While she was leading the prayer meeting, teachers and parents also prayed for the children and helped them experience the works of the Holy Spirit. And during the powerful praise time, children, teachers and parents held the hands one another, hugged them each other, and sang praises with joy feeling the Lord's love.
This 2010 Summer Bible School ended up a great success with the active supports and services from many parents and many church members. The children learned the Word of God through the Bible study led by teachers and became united through the fellowship meeting of each class.
A child attended this summer Bible school every day by the help of her neighbor although her parents couldn't bring her to the church. Her neighboring couples picked her up every day. Another child had high fever, but he attended this Bible school overcoming the fever because he longed for the grace of God. It is greatly expected that they will receive great blessings because their fervor for the Lord was no less strong than that of many adult members.
Many children vividly remember the message Dr. Jaerock Lee, Senior Pastor of Manmin Central Church, delivered on the first day of this summer Bible school, which was entitled with 'God Listens to My Prayer' based on Proverbs 8:17. At the end of his message, he paused for a moment after calling, "Dear children of Manmin," and glanced at each child one by one. And he said, "I love you!" They remember his gentle voice. They give all thanks and glory to God the Father who was beside them with good weather and wonders and blessing.
