"Could you make a guest appearance in a concert held in Moscow?"

In late May, 2012, I received the phone call and came to be overwhelmed with a fluttering heart because I would perform with other well-known professors. I heard that Galina, the vice director of Tchaikovsky College of Music, highly recommended me for an appearance. She had listened to my marimba playing in the 'Invitation Concert of Promising Performers Who Will Honor Korea' held in Moscow in 2011.

In June, 2012, it was decided that I would perform in an opening performance. I had around two months before the concert. I arranged 'Arirang' and a Russian folk song 'Million Roses' for a marimba playing.

A week before I departed, great pressure swept over me because I couldn't focus on the practice due to my busy schedule. But Dr. Jaerock Lee appeared in my dream and encouraged me saying, "You've received strength, so you will do a great job." I had only a week left, but I could then concentrate on practicing with happiness after the dream.

I arrived at Moscow four days before the concert. Galina allowed for me to personally take lessons from a lecturer of marimba three hours a day.

On August 23, 2012, it was the day of the concert. In the early morning, I breathed so fast that I couldn't breathe properly all of a sudden and I felt dizzy. The cold sweat broke out all over me. I received Dr. Lee's prayer for the sick saved on my MP3 player and drank Muan Sweet Water (Exodus 15:25). At the moment, my body got hot and I felt something go down in me. Then, the symptoms of dizziness and vomiting were gone. I gave prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord for His loving care.

Finally, the concert started. I played with the handkerchief of power on which Dr. Lee had prayed (Acts 19:11-12) in my clothing. There were numerous people in the audience who were watching me. The melody of 'Arirang' resounded in the concert hall. 'Million Roses' with joyful rhythm followed. Joy came out from my heart while playing note by note.

I received loud applause and went down from the stage. The lecturer who taught me kept shouting "Very good!" He praised me saying I performed boldly, knew how to play the songs, and continued to smile with wonderful stage manner. I give thanks to the Lord who opened the way to having such a great experience and guided me with care. I also extend my thanks to Dr. Jaerock Lee who prayed for me.
