Deaconess Juhyun Lee (2-23 Parish, South Korea)


I began attending church in 2006, but I had no true faith. I led a life that was no different from that of worldly people. Nothing could satisfy my emptiness and loneliness.
I prayed earnestly to the Lord with my spirit thirsting deeply to meet a true shepherd who could give my spirit true satisfaction.


I met the true shepherd, gained true faith, and my family was evangelized!

I became aware of the ministry of Dr. Jaerock Lee, Senior Pastor of Manmin Central Church through my friend Sister Mijeong Park. The moment I saw his picture, I was startled. It was because the picture was full of spiritual lights.
From that moment on I read Dr. Lee's books starting with his testimonial memoirs Tasting Eternal Life before Death and his representative book The Message of the Cross. The books consistently touched my heart. My heart became full of joy and thanks in the assurance of God's answer to my prayer to meet the true shepherd whom I had been searching.
On December 19th, 2008, I registered in Manmin Central Church. I felt elated listening to Dr. Lee's sermons and managing my life as a Christian. In 2009, my daughter, Sister Hyejin Oh, also started her Christian life. Then, she earned a Merit-based Scholarship as an outstanding student in her school. Now she is an 11th grader in Goyang Foreign Language High School.
My daughter and I began to pray for my husband Brother Jinseop Oh to be saved. In September, 2010, I saw a vision during a worship service. In the vision, Dr. Lee embraced my husband who had turned his back to him, and then my husband wept for a long time and threw himself into Dr. Lee's arms like a child.
I was assured that my prayer for him had been answered. In January 2011, I offered up three-day fasting to God for him. A few days later, he registered in Manmin Church and started to keep the whole Sabbath and give proper tithe. From the beginning of 2013, he has been trying to pray and arm himself with the Word of God while listening to sermon series such as "The Love Chapter" and "Beatitudes". He became a considerate husband and a friendly father.


I fulfilled my God-given duty as a cell leader with love

During the second half of 2010, I was newly given a God-given duty as a cell leader. Through it, I made up my mind to repay the grace and love that I had received from God. It was the first duty given to me in the church, so I was intent on learning what to say and how to serve the members by following my Parish Pastor Soojung (Crystal) Kim when she visited the members' places and counseled them.
She said that the fruits borne in the members is only as much as the love we have sown. I tried to keep it in mind and to treat my cell members like my own family and serve them.
During 2012 New Year's Service, all church members had time to write our three prayer titles for which we would pray for a year. One of my prayer titles was 'My Cell's Revival' and I received Dr. Lee's prayer of blessing. Afterwards, it dawned on me that I lacked spiritual love and goodness. Every time I realized it, I prayed earnestly and endeavored to give them love and do everything in goodness.
I offered up fasting on behalf of my cell members when they had problems to be solved or for their prayer titles. When they were faced with urgent matters, I talked to my sub-district, district leaders, or my parish pastor so that they were aware and could discover the way to receive answers more quickly. I also provided rides for them so that they did not find it difficult to go to the church for services or prayer meetings. I also armed myself with the Word of God to give the right answers when the cell members asked me something about it.
While diligently fulfilling my duty, God filled up what I needed and expressed His love for me. My heart was full of God's love and joy. Something to be even more thankful for is that He blessed my cell to experience revival. Sister Mijeong Park, who had been absent from church for a long time, came to church with her family and she even evangelized Deaconess Jihyun Jeon and Sister Miyeon Kim.


I was filled with overflowing joy seeing many souls returning to the truth

Sister Mijeong Park helped those whom she had evangelized download GCN TV's application on their smart phones and they listened to Dr. Lee's messages. They have received a lot of grace listening to Dr. Lee's sermons that are spiritually profound but are also delivered in a very understandable way.
Deaconess Jihyun Jeon was amazed by the fact that our heavenly dwelling places will be different according to our measures of faith. She is now running to take hold of a better dwelling place in Heaven (Matthew 11:12). Most of all she felt grateful for being able to possess the assurance of salvation. Recently, she evangelized both her son and daughter.
Sister Miyeon Kim's family dwells in overflowing blessings. Seeing her become so cheerful after going to church, her husband Brother Deukseop Kim began to attend church in January 2013. Not long after, he quit smoking all at once and he was healed of rhinitis that had troubled him for ten years. For the last ten years, he had had difficulties in breathing and felt dizzy, and he had sneezed and his nose had been swollen shut when there was pollen in the air. But all the symptoms were gone. Now he is coming to prayer meetings and leading a joyous Christian life.
Also, Sister Miyeon Kim has an older sister named Sister Miae Kim. Sister Miyeon Kim's blessing and happiness impressed her. During her visit to Korea from China she attended the 2013 Easter Service. She worshipped with emotion shedding tears, even before the service began. She also registered in Manmin. Now she joins Manmin's services via the Internet in China. She even evangelized her two daughters in Korea so they too have now become Christians. Hallelujah!
I give all thanks and glory to God who blessed us to meet the true shepherd, understand the true meaning of a Christian life, achieve family evangelism, and lead a blissful life!
