"My sweetest hours are when I pray to the good God"

Senior Deaconess Seyoung Oh (President of Prayer Devotees' Association)

I start my day with prayer and end it with prayer. I have unchangingly prayed for the kingdom of God and His righteousness for 23 years, which have been my sweetest moments.
Manmin Central Church has Prayer Devotees' Association which is made up of those who are devoted to prayer. We pray in the sanctuary day and night with various prayer titles such as 'national evangelism', 'the world mission', 'the church', 'Senior Pastor', and 'the church workers'. The Prayer Devotees' Association has three subgroups: Prayer Warriors; Prayer Devotees; and Part-time Prayer Devotees. I am the president of the Prayer Devotees' Association.

I have enjoyed praying with joy and thanks

I registered in Manmin Central Church through the guidance of a friend in February 1988. I started to understand the spiritual meaning of the Word of God written in the Bible and experienced the love of God and the Lord while listening to Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's message. I enjoyed blissful moments in prayer with God the Father who is so good.
I was excited on the way to the sanctuary to attend Daniel Prayer Meeting led by Mrs. Boknim Lee, President of Manmin Prayer Center at 9 P.M. every night. This is because I always have expectation of talking with my loving Father. I came to join the Prayer Devotees' Group as a part-time devotee in 1991. After work, I prayed every night for around 40 minutes before Daniel Prayer Meeting.
I prayed all the time so I was very joyful and my coworkers called me "Miss Smile". After I got married in 1994, I could pray more and I was very grateful. But at some point, I was feeling some kind of pressure. I thought I fulfilled my duty diligently as a prayer devotee, but I became a little half-hearted and felt timid since my husband's business slumped.
One day, Senior Pastor Dr. Lee talked about how important the role of the wives is in a meeting of Women's Mission. I realized that all things had been my fault and started to discover myself and break my ego with a humble heart. In addition, I listened to the sermons that made me discover the untruthful things in my heart. I meditated on them, prayed, and tried hard to cast off such things.

I destroyed the framework of my personality with longing for sanctification

In 2006, Dr. Lee preached the message under the title of 'The Self' in the Prayer Devotees' Devotional Service. I received a lot of grace through the message. I listened to it more than ten times, checked myself, and corrected improper things in my heart and thoughts. I tried hard to get rid of arrogance that I had not found before because it was an excuse for my faithfulness for my duties.
In 2009, Prayer Devotees' Association had time to meet Dr. Lee. At that time, God showed me a vision. In the vision, Dr. Lee's face had hollow cheeks since he lamented and cried for those who still hold to the worldly things and commit sins. I felt the love of the shepherd deeply and came to long to become sanctified all the more. I came to long to listen again to sermons and read the sermon summaries in the Church Bulletin, Manmin News, and on the church website. I also prayed fervently.
During the Leadership Conference held in July 2011, I realized that I lacked boldness and I tend not to express the righteousness within my heart. I endeavored to destroy the framework of that part of my personality. I also tried hard to apply the messages of Pastor Heesun Lee, President of Prayer Devotees' Association to my life and act with the heart of God, the Lord, and the shepherd. I diligently worked to change my personality so that I can express my ideas boldly when leading a prayer meeting and counseling the members.

I have fulfilled my duty with the heart of spirit and powerful prayer

Prayer devotees pray from 10:30 A.M. to noon and from 1 to 3 P.M. We also pray in Daniel Prayer Meeting from 9 P.M. We pray for more than six hours a day for the kingdom of God and the shepherd and volunteer as ushers and for the offertory and lunch preparation on Sunday.
My duty as a prayer devotee is, for me, my life. I am happy on the way to the sanctuary. In particular, when I receive the answers to my prayer titles for the kingdom of God the joy is too big to express.
One day, I was praying for Dr. Jaerock Lee and the church mission team who were to hold an overseas crusade. I saw a vision where prayer devotees and Satan were having a tug-of-war. It was tense so I prayed more fervently and in the end we won the spiritual warfare. Of course, the crusades were successfully ended. It was a good opportunity to engrave how crucial the duty of prayer devotees is in my heart.
In May, 2013, the joyful news arrived while I was running to achieve the beautiful and good heart of the Lord. It was that I have achieved the heart of spirit. This caused the members to press on to accomplish the heart of spirit. Prayer devotees were offered to God through prayer. We must have no ego and only the Lord should abide in us.
I desire to pray fervently, break my ego more thoroughly, and receive the power of God to lead many souls to the way of salvation. Also, I will imprint the love of God towards all Manmin members in my heart and run earnestly to achieve the providence of the end time with prayer. I give all thanks and glory to God who has led my life to become a truly blessed life.
