Deaconess Gumok Yoon (Age 75, Chinese Parish)


I didn’t feel anything wrong with my health except indigestion or heartburn, from which I suffered for a long time.
However, I heard that I had chronic atrophy gastritis and hyperproliferative polyps as a result of gastroscopy on March 25th.
The doctor told me that it could develop into stomach cancer, so I should tell my children and undergo a resection of the stomach at a big hospital.
But I wasn’t worried at all.
I don’t know how I could be given such boldness, but all I thought was, ‘I should take this opportunity to be healed with faith and give glory to God.
During the First Senior Pastor’s Book Reading Campaign, I participated joyfully and read all 10 books. And my desire to grow in faith grew hotter and stronger.
But my children made an appointment for my operation at a big hospital.
I received Dr. Jaerock Lee’s recorded prayer for the sick by phone 3 times a day and made a confession of faith saying, “God will heal me. So, the test result would show nothing wrong.”
On Monday April 12th, the day before the operation, I woke up early in the morning and received Dr. Lee’s recorded prayer 3 times. And suddenly I wanted to go to the bathroom while I was hearing his sermon.
I defecated a lot of black things.
At that moment I was very happy because I was convinced that I had been healed.
On April 13, Tuesday, the next day of being hospitalized, I heard the surprising result before entering the operation room.
Gastroscopy showed that my stomach was surprisingly normal.
The doctor tilted his head and he asked me if I believed in Jesus.
I answered, “Yes, I believe Him,” and he nodded.
Since God healed me, I have been filled with the Holy Spirit and very happy.
I am eager to deliver this good Father God whom I met. I give thanks and glory to Father God the Healer.
